DISCOVERY OF AMMONOID JAW APPARATUS AND ASSOCIATED FEATURES USING REFLECTANCE TRANSFORMATION IMAGING (RTI)

چکیده
We report on remains of the buccal apparatus and possible associated structures for Late Cretaceous ammonite Maorites seymourianus from López de Bertodano Formation (Antarctic Peninsula). This is first description these family Kossmaticeratidae. Further, we discuss most likely taphonomic processes taking place that allowed this exceptional preservation. Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI) technique was employed in work to better document faint structures. briefly provide a review method its potential importance paleontological studies because it seems powerful has been largely overlooked by paleontologists.

compactifications and representations of transformation semigroups
this thesis deals essentially (but not from all aspects) with the extension of the notion of semigroup compactification and the construction of a general theory of semitopological nonaffine (affine) transformation semigroup compactifications. it determines those compactification which are universal with respect to some algebric or topological properties. as an application of the theory, it is i...

This paper discusses the interim results of the AHRC RTISAD project. The project has developed and tested a range of techniques for gathering and processing reflectance transformation imaging (RTI) data. It has also assembled a detailed understanding of the breadth of RTI practice. Over the past decade the range of applications and algorithms in the broad domain of RTI has increased markedly, w...
متن کاملRadiomics modelling of IMRT induced acute rectal toxicity using clinical and magnetic resonance imaging features
Introduction: Rectal toxicity is a dose limiting issue in prostate cancer radiotherapy. Prediction of these effects may be used to tailor the therapy. The purpose of this work was to develop predictive radiomic models based on clinical, dosimetric and radiomic features extracted from rectal wall magnetic resonance image (MRI). Materials and Methods: This st...
